Kaizer Chiefs veteran defender Eric Mulomowawandau Mathoho is set to leave the club at the end of the season.
Tower‘s current contract with the club ends at the end of the season, and he is unlikely to stay beyond this season.
As the club’s head coach Arthur Zwane prefers ball-playing centre-backs.
The 33-year-old has struggled for game time under Zwane despite the club’s problems at the back.
As he has managed to play a single competitive match this season.
According to Goal SA journalist Austin Ditlhobolo on his Facebook Page, Mathoho will leave the club when the season comes to an end.
See the post below:
Mathoho’s departure will see him leave the club after 11 fruitful years.
Which has seen him play 259 matches in all competitions scoring 26 goals and winning four trophies.
The South African international is currently ranked last in the club’s centre-backs ranking.
And the imminent arrival of Thatayaone Ditlhokwe from Supersport United and Given Msimango from TS Galaxy will see him move down even further.
The likes of Sekhukhune United and TS Galaxy are his potential next destination.
But will likely move to his home province of Limpopo.
