Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Lamontville Golden Arrows head coach Manqoba Mngqithi hits back at his critics and doubters.

Mngqithi was seen as the man to deliver Sundowns to the promised land after the club decided to partways with Rulani Mokwena at the end of the 2023-2024 season.

However, poor results and lacklustre performances from his side led to Mngqithi being the exit doors at Chloorkop and replaced with Portuguese coach Miguel Cardoso.
After his rather poor stint as the club’s sole head coach, Mngqithi has been underfire, with many doubting his ability to coach as well as criticising his style of play while he was still the head coach.
Something that he strongly hit back at while also talking about his future in the world of football.
“I don’t give a damn about what people are saying because I know my capacity,” Manqoba Mngqithi said.
“I know I will still get another job. It’s inevitable. It’s something you just can’t stop.
“I will get another job, and I will do well in that job. I think I’ve won too many (trophies).
“That is the truth when I started coaching, I always wanted to win trophies because how will it be that you are a conquer,” he added.
“But you have never conquered because my name says ‘Manqoba’ I must conquer.”

However, despite his reluctantance to return to coaching immediately, they are several clubs in the East of Africa and the Gulf region who are said to be interested in his services.
