Mamelodi Sundowns reportedly tells three Bafana Bafana internationals to find new homes ahead of the 2025-2026 Betway Premiership season.

Since taking over as the club’s head coach midway last season, Miguel Cardoso has made a mission to trim down the club’s bloated squad ahead of next season.
So far, up to eight players have left the club after Luvuyo Phewa recently joined the Motsepe Foundation Championship side, the University of Pretoria FC on a season-long loan deal.
However, despite eight players leaving the club, the club continues to trim down their squad after the trio of Neo Maema, Keagan Johannes, and Terrence Mashego were told not to train with the main team for pre-season.
The trio is believed to have been told to find new homes ahead of the upcoming season, as they are not in the coach’s plans for the upcoming season.
Unlike Mashego and Johannes, Maema travelled with the club to the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the United States of America this past month, and his exclusion comes as a shock.
Meanwhile, the duo of Mashego and Johannes have been out of the club’s head coach’s plans since towards the end of last season.
The trio is not short of suitors, as newly acquired Siwelele FC have asked about the players’ availability after Sundowns to give them their first preference when they want to partways with players.
Other players that are expected to leave the club before the end of the transfer window are Rushine De Reuck, Matias Esquivel, and Kobamelo Kodisang.
