Mamelodi Sundowns hierarchy is believed to be considering to sack head coach Miguel Cardoso after CAF Champions League Final defeat to Pyramids FC.

The calls for the head of the Portuguese’s tactician head have intensified after the 3-2 aggregate loss to the Egyptian side Pyramids FC.
Many feel the former Esperance Sportive de Tunis head coach is responsible for the loss after his questionable tactics during the two-legged finals.
His and his technical team’s decision to leave the club’s captain Themba Zwane on the bench for both matches has risen many questions regarding his abilities to help the club to ultimately land their goal of winning the Champions League.
Despite the loss and many asking about why he opted against playing arguably the greatest player to ever play for the club, Cardoso refused to answer the question directly and instead talked about the quality his side has.
However, despite being the first head coach to reach the final of the Champions League for the club in ten years, having only joined the club back in December, his future at the club is said to be uncertain.
According to our sources near the club, the club’s hierarchy is unhappy about the outcome of the season, leaving the futures of Cardoso and his technical team uncertain.
But a good showing at the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup in the United States of America would certainly see Cardoso and his team stay beyond the current season.
