Mamelodi Sundowns and three other African clubs will receive R170 000 000-plus each for participating in this year’s FIFA Club World Cup in the United States of America.

Sundowns, Esperance Sportive de Tunis, Wydad Athletic Club, and Al Ahly SC will represent Africa in the expanded FIFA Club World Cup that will take place in June this year in USA.
The four clubs will receive a whopping $9 million(R170+ million) for participating in the tournament.

The clubs could earn more than the R170 000 000 that is guaranteed by winning their matches at the tournament.
Each victory is said to be worth around R18 million($2 million), meaning should they win every match from Group Stages to the final, they could walk away with approximately R436 800 000($24 000 000).
The Brazilians are pitted in Group F alongside German giants Borussia Dortmund, Brazilian side Fluminense, and Korean side Ulsan HD.
