Mamelodi Sundowns management is said to be on the brink to offer a star attacker a new contract offer.

Heading into the last three months of the season, the Brazilians have up to 11 players whose contracts are coming to an end at the end of the season.

One of the players whose contracts are coming to an end at the club at the end of the season is the veteran attacking middlefielder, Themba Zwane.
The 34-year-old saw his contract at the club extend by a further year after the club decided to trigger a one-year option in his contract earlier this season.
However, with his contract in the final few months, the club’s head coach Miguel Cardoso is said to have convinced the club’s management to offer Zwane two-year deal(one-year plus an option for a further a year according to Soccer Laduma.
“The new deal is good as done, and the coach has played an important part in that,” the publication reported.
“As a way of honouring him, the club has offered him a one-year contract offer plus a one-year option(extension) as they want him to be part of the FIFA Club World Cup in June and that’s when his contract was supposed to expire.”

Zwane is currently out injured after suffering an Anterior Cruciate Ligament(ACL) injury earlier this season.
He is expected to return to action towards the end of the current season.
