Sundowns Offers Ex-Pirates Coach Four-Year Contract
Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Rhulani Mokwena and former Orlando Pirates reserve team head coach Michael Loftman during their days at Pirates.

The Brazilians table a four-year deal to former Orlando Pirates head coach Rhulani Mokwena.

However, the 36-year-old is stalling and reluctant to sign the new deal due to the club not meeting his demands.

Mokwena wants to make changes to his technical team.

He wants Michael Loftman and Kennedy Mweene to replace Manqoba Mnqgithi and Wendell Robinson as the club’s senior coach and goalkeeper coach respectively.

Despite the two parties being in deadlock, the club’s management is confident that Mokwena will sign the deal.

His current deal expires on the 30th of June 2024.

Meanwhile, the club continues to build for next season with new players expected to arrive once the transfer window opens.

Stellenbosch FC star Junior Mendieta and Supersport United youngster Thapelo Maseko are two names expected to land at Chlorkoop in the next coming weeks.
