“I was not part of the negotiations, but they have agreed to a one-year contract as a playing contract,” the source said.

“There will be other negotiations maybe later when he retires.

“But for now, it’s about the one-year playing contract.

“His current contract ends in June next year, so the one-year [Deal] will take him to June 2025.”

The former Ugandan international is expected to retire in June 2025 when his deal expires, as the club feels he should retire in his 40s.

Meanwhile, the club is set to play away against Richards Bay FC at the King Zwelithini Stadium in KZN on Wednesday, the 23rd of August 2023.

Kick off is set for 5h30 pm South African time and will be televised on Dstv Channel 202(Supersport PSL) for South African viewers.
