Mamelodi Sundowns’ CAF Champions League Group A Opener Rescheduled

Masandawana were expected to host Mauritanian champions FC Nouadhibou on Friday, the 24th of November, at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.

However, the opening fixture of the 2023/2024 CAF Champions League Group A has been moved due to national team commitments.

Both clubs have a number of players in their respective countries’ national teams, and they are expected to join their respective teams on Wednesday, which doesn’t give them enough time to prepare for the match.

New Date And Venue Confirmed

The two clubs have managed to move the fixture to this Sunday at the same venue, as on Saturday, the stadium will host a rugby game between the Blue Bulls and Connacht.

The match on Sunday kicks off at 3 pm South African time and broadcast details are yet to be communicated.
