Magesi FC is looking to retain the services of Mamelodi Sundowns star striker, who is currently on loan at the club.

Magesi
Magesi FC striker Thabang Sibanyoni during a Betway Premiership match between Magesi FC and Stellenbosch FC at Seshego Stadium in Polokwane, Limpopo on the 29th of March 2025.

After a poor start to their maiden league campaign in the top-flight of South African football, the Limpopo-based club has somewhat turned a corner.

The club has managed to register five consecutive home wins in the league thanks to the players they have brought in during the January transfer window.

The list of players includes Thabang Sibanyoni on loan from Sundowns.

The 29-year-old joined the Carling Blacklabel Knockout Cup champions on a six months loan deal after his season-long deal with Richards Bay was cancelled in January.

Sibanyoni has found a form with Magesi leading to him registering two winning goals against Polokwane City and most recently against Stellenbosch FC.

His displays see the Moletjie-based club look to retain the burly striker’s services beyond the current campaign.

The club is looking to sign South African international on a permanent basis, but they are also happy to sign him on loan if they fail to land him on a permanent basis.
