Mamelodi Sundowns players celebrate one of their four goals against TS Galaxy during a 2024-2025 Betway Premiership match at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium on Saturday, the 22nd of February 2025.

Over the years, Chiefs has made it a habit to sign former Sundowns players on a free transfer, with the latest being tricky attacker Gaston Sirino.

With up to 11 players in their final three months at Chloorkop and Sundowns’ head coach Miguel Cardoso looking to cut his squad down, the indications are that Chiefs may go this route again.

The likes of Themba Zwane, Peter Shalulile, Mothobi Mvala, Rivaldo Coetzee, and Siphelele Mkhulise are just some of the players who are in their last months of their contracts at the club.

With Chiefs’ head coach Nasreddine Nabi also looking to bring in quality players to build his side to return the club’s glory days, a move for some of these players can’t be ruled out.
