After activating a clause in Edson Castillo’s contract that will see the middlefielder stay at the club beyond the current season, Amakhosi has set the side on extending Ashley Du Preez stay as well.

Du Preez, who joined Chiefs three seasons ago on a three-year deal with an option for a further year, is currently in his final few months of his contract at Naturena.
After registering 18 goals in 72 games for the club, Chiefs has decided to offer the attacker a new contract, according to Goal SA journalist Austin Ditlhobolo.
“Kaizer Chiefs look set to reward Ashley Du Preez with a new deal,” Ditlhobolo stated on his Facebook page.
“The speedy attacker joined Amakhosi from Stellenbosch FC in 2022 on a three-year deal contract with an option.
“That deal ends this June, but Chiefs want to retain the Forwardzone Group client’s services beyond this season.”
