Nonny accused the club’s superfan, Maake, of being in the centre of being given counterfeit tickets and asked him to take accountability for the role he played in the saga.
“I am in the Northern Cape, what happened is that tickets for the derby were sold out, so I asked the president if he knew someone with extra tickets, am my branch members were eager for them,” Nonny told KickOff.
“The president said, ‘No man, I got someone from Mpumalanga.’ A ticket was priced at R150, and another at R200.
“The guy who communicated with Saddam on our behalf was Kabelo. He bought the tickets for R3 500.
Nonny went on to say how Kabelo wanted to go Saddam and collect the ticket in person, but the latter refused, stating that the guy with the tickets hasn’t arrived yet and they will meet during midday at the Toyota Parking Area.
While inside the stadium, Nonny said she received a call from Kabelo telling him that all the tickets they got from Saddam are fake.
She further went on to tell the publication that they are taking the matter further, and they have contacted SANASU Secretary General Mama Joy.
Meanwhile, Maake has denied all the accusations pinning them on the young man, who has apparently agreed to pay back the money.
