Edmilson Dove, Happy Mashiane, Ashley Du Preez, Keagan Dolly, and new signing Ranga Chivaviro are all doubts for the opening game.

However, Amakhosi might have a needed boost heading into the opening match at the iconic stadium.

During the captain’s run at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal ahead of their league clash on Sunday, the 6th of August, the club received a huge boost.

Chivaviro practiced with the squad and seems to be in contention to play tomorrow despite missing the last two televised pre-season matches.

The 30-year-old joined Chiefs from the relegated Marumo Gallants on a two-year deal with an extension for a further year.

However, his move to the club has not been smooth, as Richards Bay are claiming him as their player.

Putting his involvement in the Chippa game at risk, as the matter is now reported to be with the PSL DRC.

Meanwhile, the game in Durban kicks off at 3 pm and will be aired on Supersport PSL(Dstv channel 202) at 3 pm SA time.
