Kaizer Chiefs Football Club star attacker is back for Mamelodi Sundowns Football Club’s clash after missing the opening match.

Looking to fix their shortcomings and compete for titles that have eluded them for more than eight years.

One of the players that the Naturena-based club signed is Pule Mmodi from Golden Arrows on a free transfer.

The 30-year-old joined Amakhosi on a three-year deal with an option extension to extend for a further year.

However, the South African international is yet to make his official Chiefs debut after the club’s opening match of the season.

Mmodi missed Chiefs’ 0-0 draw with Chippa United at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, due to the passing of his mother.

Mmodi lost his mother, Basetsana Lillian Mmodi, after a short illness and was laid to rest this past weekend.


Heading into their second clash of the season against Mamelodi Sundowns, Chiefs received a huge boost to their attack.

Mmodi is in line to make his debut for the club after being spotted back in training ahead of the heavyweight clash.

The match will be played at the iconic Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium in Pretoria on the 9th of August.

The kick-off is set for 3 pm Central African Time(CAT).
