Kaizer Chiefs Football Club is set to lose their prime target for the second time to a European club.

Lately, Kaizer Chiefs has been losing a lot of players the club has targeted due to their sceptical ways in the transfer market.

Before the season 2021/2022, Amakhosi was heavily linked with the now Rodomiak Radom middlefielder Thabo Cele.

However, the then South African junior international decided against joining Chiefs and headed to Poland.

But two seasons later, the 26-year-old is again linked with a move to Chiefs, as he is not Rodomiak Radom’s plans this season.

Having agreed on personal terms to join the club, his deal to Chiefs seems to be failing again.

The Naturena-based club at first thought the player was set to become a free agent on the 1st of August, to later learn that he is still contracted to the Polish club.

KAIZER CHIEFS SET TO LOSE TARGET AGAIN?

Chiefs’ doubts of getting the deal over the line may see the club lose the chance to sign the player again.

Russian club, FC Fakel Voronezh, is interested in signing the player as he is happy to continue his stay in Europe.

However, with Chiefs’ Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Jr. is said to be in Europe and working on a deal.

Meaning Cele is likely to become Chiefs’ Player before the close of the current transfer window market.

Meanwhile, the club is likely to welcome a new striker this week after agreeing to a deal to sign one.
