The 2023/2024 season is just less than a month from starting.

Kaizer Chiefs players and coaching staff continue to prepare for the season ahead.

The club recently announced the signing of six new players ahead of next season.

Meanwhile, extending the contracts of Itumeleng Khune and Sfiso Hlanti.

But some players like Austin Dube and Njabulo Ngcobo face uncertain times at the club.

They are likely to be shown the exit door.


After the conclusion of the 2022/2023 season showed central defenders Eric Mathoho, the exit door, Ngcobo and Dube, are likely to follow.

But the sale of Siyabonga Ngezana to Romanian giants Football Club FCSB seems to have changed Ngcobo’s fortunes at the club.

According to the Soccer Laduma(Siya Crew), Amakhosi management is looking to keep the former Swallows FC defender at the club.

His contract at the club expires at the end of the 2023/2024 season.

However, the 29-year-old is set to continue to struggle for game time at the club.

The arrival of Given Msimango and Thatayaone Ditlhokwe push him down the packing order further despite the club losing three central defenders.

But his versatility could see him get more playing time under new head coach Molefi Ntseki.
