The victory came after the home side missed a penalty, as former now-defunct Bidvest Wits star Mokgokolodi Nkele’s penalty was saved.
Dove’s teammate at Chiefs, Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, was on the losing side, as he captained his national team.
Sibongiseni Mthethwa
Mthethwa will receive a R60,000 winning bonus after Percy Tau and Khuliso Mudau’s first-half strikes were enough to see the host South Africa come out with a 2-1 victory over Benin.
The Chiefs star came on as a late second-half sub, replacing Mamelodi Sundowns superstar Themba Zwane.
