Kaizer Chiefs Football Club’s new signing is likely to travel to South Africa this upcoming week.

Earlier this week, Kaizer Chiefs announced two major transfer updates regarding their striking department.

The club announced the departure of Burindian striker Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana after a single season at the club.

Bimenyimana joined Amakhosi back in August 2022 on a free transfer and signed a two-year deal with an option for further year.

But after a good start to life at Chiefs, the 25-year-old struggled to sustain his start to life at the club.

In turn, it cost him his place in the team and the club, as he was released less than a year into his supposed two-year deal at the club.

His departure was quickly followed by the signing of Efmamj Jasond Gonzaleź Palacios from Real Santa Cruz.

The 24-year-old joins Chiefs on a season-long loan deal with an option to make the deal permanent.

Despite the deal going through weeks ago, the lanky striker was unable to travel to South Africa due to visa issues.

However, the waiting seems to be over, as the Colombian player is said to have received his visa.

According to Goal SA journalist Austin Ditlhobolo, Palacios has received his South African Visa and will travel to the country this upcoming Monday.

Meanwhile, the club is likely to welcome their vice captain Keagan Dolly back from an ACL injury this Sunday.

Chiefs takes on TS Galaxy in a Dstv Premiership match at Mbombela Stadium in Mbombela, Mpumalanga.

The match in Mpumalanga will kick off at 3 pm SA time and will be televised live on Dstv Channel 202(Supersport PSL).
