Kaizer Chiefs lands South African international, as the Gauteng Development League resumes.

This past Sunday, Amakhosi hosted their arch-rivals Mamelodi Sundowns at the club’s headquarters in Naturena during the second round of the Gauteng Development League(GDL) since the league resumed at the beginning of this Month.

During the third match of the day, which Chiefs won 3-1, the Naturena-based club revealed one of their new signings, Khayalethu Mzimela, as reported by Football Stage.
Football Stage reported that the 16-year-old left-footed central defender that is capped by the Under-17 South African national team has joined the Phefeni Glamour Boys from the British Football Academy from KwaZulu-Natal province.
“Khayalethu Mzimela (2008) has joined the Kaizer Chiefs Academy from the British Football Academy in KZN,” Football Stage Stated.
“The left footed centre back is a South African U17 international who has a strong physical presence and is very composed on the ball.
“A top signing by the young Amakhosi.”
The highly rated defender is expected to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Mfundo Vilakazi, Samkelo Zwane, and Mduduzi Shabalala in making his way up to the first-team from the club’s development
