Kaizer Chiefs is believed to have rekindled its interest in signing Bafana Bafana star after missing out in the player a season before.

After a stellar 2023/2024 season with Sekhukhune United Elias Mokwana, he was heavily linked with a move to Chiefs, with the club going as far as submitting a deal for the player to only lose out to Tunisian giants Esperance Sportive de Tunis.
However, despite the move the player has on multiple occasions revealed his intentions and desires of one day dawning the gold and black of Amakhosi.
This has seemingly opened the door for the Naturena-based club to try and sign the player, as according to a Tunisian publication, Nessma Sport, Chiefs is interested in signing the 25-year-old attacker.
The Naturena-based club is expected to be met with a hefty price tag for the player, as he is an important part of the club.
Mokwana helped his side to win a domestic treble with the club after playing 34 matches, scoring seven goals, and providing four assits in all competitions, and his contract at the club runs until June 2027.
