Kaizer Chiefs is understood to be in talks to sign Young Africans SC goalkeeper Djigui Diarra, as the Naturena-based club continues to rebuild squad ahead of next season.

Amakhosi’s struggles in between the posts have been well documented, as the club has used three goalkeepers this season.
Fiacre Ntwari started the season in goals after being brought in from TS Galaxy ahead of this season, but his inconsistentency led to head coach Nasreddine Nabi giving both Brandon Petersen and Bruce Bvuma chances between the posts.

Petersen and Bvuma, like Ntwari, have struggled to produce consistent performances in goals, leading to Nabi and the club’s hierarchy to look elsewhere for the solution.
According to our sources, the club is in talks with Yanga over goalkeeper Diarra, a move that could see Ntwari leave the club a season after joining from Galaxy.
Ntwari is filling one of the five foreign quotas at the club, and Diarra is expected to take his spot at the club should his move to Chiefs materialise.
Meanwhile, Bvuma and Petersen are also facing uncertainty at the club, as they can also leave at the end of the season.
