Kaizer Chiefs is reported to have shown interest in signing CR Belouizdad attacker Khanyisa Mayo, having failed to sign before he moved to the Algerian club.

Amakhosi’s hierarchy and coaching staff are active in the market looking to add another striker after signing Flavio Silva and parting ways with Ranga Chivaviro.
Their pursuit for a striker has seemingly led them to former Cape Town City FC striker, Mayo, despite failing to sign the player before he moved to Algeria ahead of last season.
Talking to one of the leading publications in South African football fraternity, KickOff, Chiefs legend and the father of the player in question, Patrick Mayo, revealed that his former side contacted him regarding the availability of his son.
Mayo senior told the club that it was his son’s decision on whether he wanted to join them or not, despite him being okay with the move if it happens.
But he warned the club that if they wanted to sign the sign the South African international, they should contact his current club, CR Belouizdad and buy him as he has the contract with the club until the end of the 2026-2027 season.
