Injury Woes For Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs have been hit hard by injuries in the past few weeks, as they lost four players to various ailments.

Brandon Petersen, Sfiso Hlanti, and Ashley Du Preez were already sidelined before the Carling Knockout round of 16 match against Amazulu on October 22, 2023.

In that match, which Chiefs lost 1-0 at FNB Stadium, they also lost Edmilson Dove to a hamstring injury.

The Mozambican defender had to be substituted in the first half and was replaced by Zitha Kwinika.

The three injured players are expected to miss the Golden Arrows clash, wwhile middlefielder George Matlou and Petersen are also doubtful for the game.

A Tough Test For Kaizer Chiefs

The injury crisis comes at a bad time for Chiefs, who are struggling to find their form in the league.

They have only won three of their nine matches this season, drawing two and losing four.

They are currently eighth on the table with 11 points, 13 points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.

Arrows, on the other hand, are enjoying a good start to the season.

They have won five of their eight matches, drawing two and losing one.

They are second on the table with 17 points, seven points behind Sundowns.

Chiefs will have to overcome their injury woes and find their best performance if they want to avoid another defeat and climb up the table.

Arrows will not make it easy for them, as they have a strong squad and a confident coach in Mabhuti Kenyeza.

It promises to be an exciting and challenging match for both teams.
