Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are reported to be set to battle for the signature of Richards Bay striker.

Amakhosi head coach Nasreddine Nabi is in search of a striker who will ease the load the club is currently carrying in front of goals thus season.
The club’s struggles in front of goals have seemingly seen them look in the direction of Richards Bay striker Yanela Mbuthuma, who is also a target of Chiefs’ arch-rivals Pirates according to Soccer Laduma.

The publication reports that the Naturena-based club has made an enquiry about the availability of the 23-year-old lanky attacker who is also on the radar of the Buccaneers.
“Chiefs are also interested in that Richards Bay striker that Pirates have enquired about before, Yanela Mbuthuma,” the publication states.
“For now, it’s just an interest from the club, I am not sure if there is anything official yet from Chiefs to Richards Bay.
“But what I can tell you is that Chiefs are interested in him.”
Mbuthuma was among the scores this past Sunday when The Natal Richboyz beat Chiefs 2-0 at the King Zwelithini Stadium in a Betway Premiership encounter.
The victory sees the KZN-based club move to 11th in the league with 24 points after 22 matches, while Chiefs remains 8th with 29 points after 22 matches.
