Mamelodi Sundowns Football Club’s new signing Junior Mendieta’s jersey number at the club revealed.
Sundowns decided against extending Hashim Domingo’s contract at the club.
The then Stellenbosch FC star attacker Junior Mendieta became their number one target to replace Domingo.

The Chlorkoop based club went against Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates for the signature of the Argentinean.
But the Brazilians’ financial muscles won Mendieta’s signature.

Sundowns is reported to have paid around R12 million for the 29-year-old, and he signed a four-year deal with the Dstv Premiership champions.
Mendieta was officially unveiled as a Sundowns player on Monday, the 3rd of July 2023.

JUNIOR MENDIETA’S JERSEY NUMBER AT MAMELODI SUNDOWNS!
Having previously wore jersey number 10 at his former club Stellenbosch FC, Mendieta will wear jersey number seven at Sundowns.
The number was previously worn by Lyle Lakay, who was released after his contract at Chlorkoop expired.
Sundowns shared Mendita’s images in training wearing a training kit with the number seven on both his shorts and top.
