Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro comments on his future at the club ahead of Betway Premiership clash against log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.

Speaking to the media at the club’s training facility at Rand Stadium yesterday, the Spanish tactician responded to the question surrounding his future as in he is in his final three months of his contract at the club.

Riveiro refused to go into the details of his situation at the club but rather focus on the upcoming match against Sundowns.
“We are here to talk about the game on Sunday and not my contract or future,” Riveiro told the media.
“But well, obviously, I can give you a standard answer that is my responsibility, and my mandate is why I’m sitting here, and this is what the club is expecting from me.
“We are a different type of animal, and this is what we love.
“We love to compete, and we love to face challenges and know that our professions are going beyond the time that we spent together here on the field for us as the technical staff and players.
“They are football players for 24 hours, and the moment that they don’t do it, they are not going to be at the level that the system requires. For us as the technical staff, it is the same.
Pirates and Sundowns will take in each other at the iconic FNB Stadium this upcoming Sunday, with kick-off set for 3h30 pm South African time.
