Kaizer Chiefs central defender Inácio Miguel reveals his heated argument with Nasreddine Nabi regarding his frequent yellow cards earlier this season.

The defender received four yellow cards in his first four matches at the club and also received a red card in his first six matches.
This left the club’s head coach forced to hold a heated meeting with the Angolan international to resolve this ongoing problem.
During the club’s media day at Naturena yesterday, Miguel revealed the details of the meeting he had with the Tunisian tactician.

“I had a meeting with coach Nabi, and he told me to understand the timing (of my tackles) and the way to do things,” Miguel told the media.
“But I told him: ‘Listen, for me, there is no problem to take a yellow card or red card if it is for the team’. I will keep doing it until the end of the season.
He further went on to explain how now the situation has become easy, and he is no longer exposed as he was, and it shows as he has received only three yellow cards in the last 16 matches.
“But as a team, we are now doing better than before, so that means I am not exposed (as before). And of course, if I have to make a foul in the 15th minute, it doesn’t matter the time, but to help the team not concede a goal, I will do it and take the yellow card.”
Miguel closed by stating that he doesn’t mind taking the cards as long as it helps the club to win games, but he is also willing to learn to be cautious in his approach.
“I told him: ‘Listen, if you don’t want me to do that, don’t put me in the team to play because I will do it if I need to do it’.
“I don’t mind if the supporters say, ‘Miguel is taking too many cards. It doesn’t matter. If the team is winning and I have to take a yellow card in every game, I will do it. It is not a problem for me.
“Of course, I have to be more cautious and understand the timing of things I have to do. It is a process, and I am also learning,” Miguel concluded.
The defender will look to avoid getting a yellow card against Cape Town City FC on Wednesday night, as it will see him miss the club’s next match due to a suspension.
He is currently on three yellow cards, one away from suspension.
