Kaizer Chiefs hosted Wits Juniors at Naturena in the latest round of the Gauteng Development League (GDL) on Saturday.

Kaizer Chiefs and Wits Juniors under-13 sides battles at Naturena during the Gauteng Development League clash.

The young Glamour Boys competed in all four divisions, and showed their superiority over their opponents in most of the matches.

Under-13s: Chiefs extend their lead

The under-13s started the proceedings, as the log leaders, Chiefs managed to continue their form with a 3-1 victory.

The victory see Chiefs open a ten points gap with 53 points after 19 games over Supersport United in second place having played three games more.

Under-15s: Wits stun Chiefs

The second match saw the under-15s take to the field, and Wits Juniors managed to edge out log leaders 1-0 to leave the under-15 division open.

As Chiefs’ lead at the top of the table has been cut to six points, as they are currently having 36 points after 16 matches.

Under-17s: Wits upset Chiefs

Wits Juniors again edged Chiefs in the under-17 division, as they upset the host 2-1 also leaving the under-17 division opened.

The loss see Chiefs remain two points behind log leaders Supersport United with 40 points after 18 matches.

Under-19s: Chiefs bounce back

The last match of the day saw Chiefs beat Wits in the under-19 division 2-0.

The victory puts them third in the division with 34 points after 16 matches, four behind log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns having played a game more.

Chiefs scored a goal in each half and kept a clean sheet to end the day on a high note.
