Former Kaizer Chiefs Football Club star attacker fails to seal a move to Morocco after a trial stint in the country.

After leaving Kaizer Chiefs, Samir Nurkovic has struggled to replicate the form he has shown at the club.

Nurkovic left Amakhosi before the beginning of the 2021/2022 season after an impressive three seasons at the club.

Upon leaving Chiefs, he joined Royal Andile Mpisane Football Club on a three-year deal.

However, the deal was cut into his first season at the club after injury filled start to life at the KwaZulu-Natal based club.

His departure left the club in trouble, as Nurkovic and his team took the club to FIFA for their failure to pay his remainder of the contract.

The matter has since seen Royal AM receive a transfer ban from FIFA until they pay the striker his three-year salary rumoured to be around R12 million.

Meanwhile, the Serbian born striker is still looking for a club after being released by Royal AM.


Mid last month, Nurkovic joined Raja Casablanca for pre-season with the hope of landing a deal at the club.

However, the 31-year-old’s search for a new club is set to continue after failing to impress Josef Zinnbauer and his technical team.

The lanky striker is currently back in the country and was among a host of stars who attended the 2023 Miss SA finals this past Sunday.

His girlfriend, Bryoni Natalie Govender, finished second behind Natasha Joubert.

Govender is the country’s first princess coming close to becoming Miss South Africa.

Meanwhile, Nurkovic is not short of suitors as clubs in North Africa are showing interest in the player.
