A Surprise Visit From The King Of Sushi

Businessman turned politician Kenny Kunene, also known as the King of Sushi, paid a surprise visit to injured TS Galaxy veteran attacker Bernard Parker at his home in Boksburg.

Kunene said he wanted to show his appreciation and admiration for Parker, who has been one of the most prolific and consistent strikers in South African football history.

He also wished him a speedy recovery and hoped to see him back on the pitch soon.

A Career-Threatening Injury

Parker suffered a career-threatening injury last week Wednesday during a Carling Knockout clash against Mamelodi Sundowns.

He was tackled by Bongani Zungu in the second half of the tightly contested game, which resulted in a fractured leg.

Zungu was given a straight red card for the tackle, while Parker was stretchered off the field and taken to hospital.

Parker underwent a successful surgery and was discharged from the hospital on Monday.

He has started his rehabilitation process at home, under the supervision of TS Galaxy’s medical team.

He is expected to be out of action for at least six months.

A Legend Of The Game

Parker is widely regarded as one of the best players to ever grace the South African football scene.

He has played for clubs such as FC Twente, Red Star Belgrade, Thanda Royal Zulu, and Kaizer Chiefs.

He has also represented the national team, Bafana Bafana, 76 times, scoring 24 goals.

He joined TS Galaxy in 2022, after spending nine years at Kaizer Chiefs, where he won several trophies, including two league titles, two MTN8 cups, one Nedbank Cup, and one Telkom Knockout cup.

Parker has received an outpouring of support and well-wishes from his fans, teammates, coaches, and fellow players.

He has thanked them for their love and prayers, and vowed to come back stronger than ever.
