Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Siyabonga Ngezana celebrates his FCSB’s first Romanian league championship in nine years.

After a first stellar season in Romania, former Amakhosi defender Ngezana has attracted interest from various clubs across Europe, mainly in France.

According to Idiski Times, the controversial owner of the club, Gigi Becali, turned down an offer of around €5 million(R99 million) for Ngezana from French Ligue 1 side FC Lorient looking for at least €7 million(R138 million) to part ways with the player.

The deal could have seen his former side, Chiefs walked away with nearly R10 million due to the sell-on clause they added when they sold the player back in July 2023.

The 26-year-old lanky Defender is one of the club’s standout performers this season, leading the Romanian Superliga giants to first league triumph in nine years.
