Bafana Bafana international Fawaaz Basadien joins Mamelodi Sundowns on a five-year deal from Stellenbosch FC ahead of the 2025-2026 season.

After more than a season of chasing the former now-defunct Moroka Swallows left fullback, the Brazilians secured the services of Basadien from Stellenbosch for an undisclosed fee.
The 28 year old completed his medical at the Chloorkop-based club on friday before signing a multi-year deal with the Betway Premiership champions.
According to Unplayable, Basadien has penned a five-year deal that is divided into two at the club.
The first three years are straight, and the remaining two are an option to extend that the club holds.
Which means the player can stay in Pretoria until the end of the 2029/2030 season should the club decide to trigger the option to extend when the first three years ends at the end of the 2027/2028 season.
Meanwhile, Neo Maema is on the verge of joining Tanzanian giants, Young Africans SC, on a season-long loan following his teammate, Rushine De Reuck who has joined Simba SC on a one-year deal with an option for a further year.
