Former Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns attacker is linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs after the exceptional 2024 CHAN tournament.

Having parted ways with Richards Bay at the end of his contract at the end of the 2024-2025 season, Thabiso Kutumela went on to spearhead South Africa’s attack at the ongoing 2024 CHAN tournament held in Tanzania, Uganda, and Kenya.
Before heading into the tournament, the 31-year-old was linked with a move to Chippa United, but the move stalled due to then the club’s head coach Sinethemba Badela rejecting the attacker joining his squad.
However, after a brilliant tournament that saw the 31-year-old scoring three goals and providing a single assist in four matches, the former Baroka FC attacker is linked with a move to Naturena.
According to our source, Kaizer Chiefs is currently in search of a striker and are looking at Kutumela as a possible option as the deal to sign Sundowns attacker Etiosa Godspower Ighodaro is seemingly getting difficult with each passing day.
The club is also looking at former Pirates and TS Galaxy goal poacher Zakhele Lepasa, who was also a part of Bafana’s squad at the 2024 CHAN tournament.
