Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs Edward Manqele forced to retire.
According to Goal SA journalist Austin Ditlhobolo, Manqele is forced to retire from professional football due to a serious knee injury.
The once prolific striker hangs his boots having for the best clubs in South African football fraternity.
Having played for Mamelodi Sundowns between 2012 and 2013 and Kaizer Chiefs between 2015 and 2017.
However, the 35-year-old struggled to live up to his high expectations at both clubs, as he failed to deliver on his promises.

After mutually agreeing to terminate his contract with Pretoria Callies back in January 2022, the striker has been playing for his amateur club, Hlokoloza FC.

He is the owner of the Hlokoloza FC team in Krugerdorp.
