Heading into the new season, Kaizer Chiefs coaching staff is sweating over the fitness of several players.

Ranga Chivaviro, Keagan Dolly, Ashley Du Preez, and Edmilson Dove are all facing the race to be fit ahead of Chippa United’s encounter.
The latter pulled a groin during Chiefs’ pre-season match against Yanga in Tanzania last month.
Despite the club keeping his availability for the opening match a secret, Dove is likely not to feature.

According to our source inside the club, the Mozambiquen international is struggling to overcome the injury.

“Three or four of the players are struggling with injury niggles ahead of the Chippa (United) game,” the source said.
“While (Keagan) Dolly is definitely out of the match, (Edmilson) Dove is likely to miss the game as well.
“He is struggling to overcome his injury, and the Chippa game is just too soon for him.”
Amakhosi takes on the Chili Boys at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, KZN, this Sunday, the 6th of August.
