High drama during Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns Betway Premiership clash at FNB Stadium yesterday.

In what was a must-win match for Pirates at FNB Stadium yesterday, the Buccaneers were accused of using underhand tactics before the match to get into the head of Sundowns players.

A week leading into the match, the Buccaneers decided to move the match from their usual home of Orlando Stadium to FNB Stadium to accommodate most of their fans as FNB Stadium has more capacity than Orlando Stadium.

However, the Sea Robbers seemingly used the stadium to get into the heads of Sundowns players.

Sundowns’ bus that was carrying both the players arrived at the stadium around 14h09 pm to only find the gate into the dressing room closed and had to walk around the stadium to enter their dressing room.

Which was followed by the tunnel the Sundowns players were going to use to the pitch being closed, meaning the players had to walk through shady stadium corridors, which was full of copper wires controlling all the electrical equipments at the stadium.

The tunnel that Sundowns players used to excess the pitch was about four to five minutes to the field.

Pirates went on to beat the visitors 2-1 after early strikes from Relebohile Mofokeng were enough to see the hosts walk away with three points with Khuliso Mudau scoring the only goal for Sundowns on the day.
