Mamelodi Sundowns agree to pay R12 million for Kaizer Chiefs target and Stellenbosch FC star Junior Mendieta.
According to Goal SA journalist Austin Ditlhobolo, Sundowns agree to pay Mendieta’s million buy-out clause.
Stellies’ head coach Steve Barker has resigned to losing the player and is already planning for life without the diminutive Argentinean.

Mendieta will join his fellow South American players like Gaston Sirino, Marcelo Allende, and Erwin Saavedra at Chlorkoop.
The move comes a day after the club lost Hashim Domingo, who is set to leave the club on free transfer after failing to reach an agreement with the club on a new deal.
While the 29-year-old’s move to Sundowns struck a huge blow to Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.
The two clubs are hopeful of landing the playmaker after another incredible season for Stellenbosch.

His 10 goals and 9 assists in 31 games this past season make him a suitable replacement for Domingo.
But the club is hopeful he will show the same form at the club.
As his explosiveness will help them in their quest to conquer Africa.
However, the two parties are still talking, but the deal is expected to go through soon.
