Chiefs To lose Several Stars In 2024- Here Is The List

As the league progresses, Amakhosi have shown a huge improvement in terms of winning. However, they might lose several stars in 2024 due to multiple reasons.

 

  • Bruce Bvuma

The 28 years old goalkeeper has been long serving at Kaizer Chiefs. He joined the club in 31 March 2017 and his contract was due to expire.

However, he was given an extension until 30 June 2024 that was signed in January 2022. Bvuma could be a free a agen in June if they don’t offer him another contract.

  • Sfiso Hlanti

Former Swallows and Bidvest left back has joined the Glamour boys in 2021. He joined as a free agent as he was released by Swallows.

Despite his nine appearances and one goal this season, Hlanti could see himself out of Naturena in June 2024.

  • Nkosingiphile Ngcobo

The 24  years old star might also see the exit door next year. The attacking midfielder has joined the senior team in August 2017.

However, he was also granted a contract extension in January 2022. His current contract will expire in June 2024. Mshini has made seven appearances this season.

 

  • Edmilson Dove

The 29 years old Mozambican central defender has been having a great season despite injuries.

He only signed a three years contract with chiefs that is expiring in June 2024. No talks about extension has been held so far with the club.

 

  • Itumeleng Khune

After joining the club in 2004, the skipper will now have to go separate ways with Amakhosi.

Indications are that Khune might also not be given another role at Naturena following his suspension. The 36 years old contract ends in June next year

 

  • Efmamjjasond González

The 24 years Colombian striker who joined the club recently might also not last long. Gonzalez haven’t found himself in South African football ashe still struggle to adapt.

He was signed on  a short term loan with an option to buy. However, the club will not exercise the option.

 

Amakhosi are ten points behind the defending champions of the league Downs. They will play their next game against Richards bay.
