Kaizer Chiefs Football Club is likely to hand former Mamelodi Sundowns star Keagan Dolly captain’s armband on a permanent basis from next season.
According to TheSouth African, Dolly is likely to be given the armband on a permanent basis after spending the majority of last season wearing it.
However, his appointment is based on Itumeleng Khune’s future at the club.
Khune is in the final month of his contract, and his future at Naturena is unclear.
The veteran shot-stopper spent the majority of last season on the sideline.
Due to the club’s head coach preferring Brandon Petersen over the legendary goalkeeper.

Meanwhile, Dolly is out injured after suffering a knee injury towards the end of last season.
It is unclear whether he will be back in time for the start of pre-season due to the extent of his injury being unknown.

Five players, including the club’s legendary defender Eric Mathoho, are leaving the club.
While the likes of Mduduzi Mdantshane, Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, and Given Msimango have already joined the club.
Zwane is set to have a senior co-head coach ahead of the new season as well.
