South African businessman and Mamelodi Sundowns owner Dr. Patrice Motsepe is backed for the second term as CAF president.

Confederation of African Football(CAF) will hold an elective conference in Cairo, Egypt, next week on the 12th of March to elect the Confederation’s top brass.
All the 54 CAF associations will be present to elect the executives that include the president of the organisation, which is currently presided by Motsepe.
After a successful stint in the seat that saw African football take strides in the global football, Sudesh Singh backs the billionaire to retain his position.

“There has been considerable positive in the spaces of finance, proper governance, and integrity,” Singh said.
“Motsepe is the epitome of the new leaders coming from corporate background, which is refreshing for the game.
“Next up for him is how does he up the tempo for his second critical term because he needs to build on.
“I am glad he has been able to tick all the boxes for the game in the continent, including women’s football.”
Motsepe face challenge for the president position from former FC Barcelona and Chelsea star striker Samuel Eto’o.
