Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane confirms Khama Billiat’s injury after Cape Town City FC defeat.
After a 1-0 defeat to Cape Town City FC, Zwane gave an update on Billiat and why he was subbed early.
The 32-year-old made his return after missing the majority of the season through a groin injury.
After replacing injured Ashley Du Preez in the 43rd minute he left the field two minutes later.
Billiat’s injury problems continue, as Mduduzi Shabalala came in for him at halftime.
While confirming the Zimbabwean’s injury Zwane also admits that he took a risk in playing the attacker.
The underfire Chiefs coach is sad to see a player of Billiat’s capabilities struggling with injuries in the latter part of his career.
He further reveals that the club expected the player to return two weeks ago, but he had another setback.
Billiat was not even in Zwane’s plans for the City game but injuries to other players forced the coach’s hand.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns star is in the final month of his contract at the club.
And his injuries problems could see the club take away the one-year deal they are said to be offering him.
