Orlando Pirates Football Club legend feels Khama Billiat will regret leaving Kaizer Chiefs Football Club.

Former Mamelodi Sundowns star, Khama Billiat, was part of Chiefs’ pre-season late June to early June.

However, the attacker went awol on the team after the two parties couldn’t agree on the new deal.

Chiefs reportedly offered Billiat a one-year extension with a reduced wage of 60%, which was going to see him earn around R200 000.

According to the club’s communications manager, Vina Maphosa, the player told the club he was sick and disappeared.

The club has since signed Tebogo Potsane from Royal AM on a free transfer and handed him Billiat’s jersey number 11.

Orlando Pirates legend Steve Lekoeloea feels Billiat will regret leaving Chiefs.

“Billiat should sit down with Kaizer Chiefs management and tell them exactly what he wants, and not just vanish,” Chippa said.

“He must tell them whatever they’ve offered puts him in a tight corner. He must tell them he is looking out for his future.

“This thing of disappearing is very wrong. You can’t keep a team that stuck with you for years waiting.

“Knowing you are planning to sign with another team. Because, to be honest, his performance has dropped.

“He will regret leaving Kaizer Chiefs. Chiefs they are a big company, not a small team.

“Leaving Chiefs will cost him a lot of things.”
