Malesela’s unbeaten run continues

New Baroka FC head coach Dan Malesela continues his unbeaten start to life at Baroka after his side thumped fellow Limpopian club Black Leopards 4-0 at home.

The victory comes at the back of a 1-1 draw against Upington City and 1-0 victory over Venda FC.

Malesela, who took over as Baroka coach in September, has collected seven of the possible nine points since his arrival, and has improved the team’s performance and morale.

He has also introduced a more attacking and entertaining style of play, which has paid off in the last three matches.

Baroka Score Four goals in  the Second half

Baroka was unlucky to go into the break with the scoreline 0-0 against Leopards at Global Stadium in Lebowakgomo, Ga-Mphahlele.

They dominated the possession and created several chances, ut were denied by the woodwork and the goalkeeper.

However, their second half performance was nothing short of remarkable.

They scored four unanswered goals through Siyabonga Mthombeni, Kabelo Kgositsile, Dan Ndlovu, and Baroka’s Kaka to walk away with three points.

Promotion race heats up

The victory puts Baroka in the race to earn promotion from  the Motsepe Foundation Championship to the Dstv Premiership.

They currently find themselves eighth on the log table with 10 points after eight games, 9 points behind Orbit College in first position.

Their next match is another Limpopo derby away at Marumo Gallants on Friday, October 27, at Thohoyandou Stadium in Venda.

Baroka will hope to continue their winning streak and close the gap with the leaders, while Gallants will try to bounce back from their 1-1 with Upington City in their last match.
