Another player has left Mamelodi Sundowns ahead of the 2025-2026 season, as the club continues to trim down its squad.

Since joining midway last season, Miguel Cardoso has made clear indications about trimming down the club’s big squad ahead of the upcoming season.
This was followed by the club parting ways with Sipho Mbule, Rivaldo Coetzee, Lebohang Maboe, Thabang Sibanyoni, Sanele Tshabalala, Lucas Suarez, and Sfiso Ngobeni at the end of last season.
Despite showing the seven players the exit doors, the club is far from cutting down its squad and has seen another player leave the club recently.
Attacking middlefielder, Luvuyo Phewa, has joined Mamelodi Sundowns town rivals, University of Pretoria FC, on a season-long loan.
Phewa previously played for the club during the 2022/2023 season, where he also joined the club on a loan basis.
Meanwhile, the Brazilians are also expected to make decisions on the futures of players like Terrence Mashego, Rushine De Reuck, Matias Esquivel, and Siyanda Msane, who are also facing uncertain times at Chloorkop.
Their futures at the club could get more complicated in the coming days, as the club is on the verge of signing, Aphelelo Teto from Scottish club, Livingston FC and Khulumani Ndamane from TS Galaxy.
