Mthethwa received his fourth booking of the season in the 2-1 loss to Golden Arrows on Saturday and will serve a one-match suspension.

Amakhosi Suffer Another Setback

Kaizer Chiefs were beaten by Arrows in a thrilling encounter at the Mpumalanga Stadium.

Two goals from Knox Mutizwa sandwiched Sfiso Hlanti’s header, as Bafana Ba’sthende walked away with a 2-1 victory.

The Zimbabwean striker tapped in his first after Brandon Petersen’s fourth error this season, and his second was a cool finish to seal the win for Arrows.

The result left Chiefs in 10th position on the log with 11 points from 10 games.

Spurs Aim To End Winless Run

Cape Town Spurs will visit the FNB Stadium on Wednesday, the 8th of November, hoping to get their first win of the season.

The newly-promoted side have lost all of their eight matches so far, scoring less than five goals in the process.

However, they may take some comfort from the fact that Chiefs will be without Mthethwa.

He has also impressed his defensive contributions and his link-up play with the forwards.

His absence will leave a big hole in Chiefs’ midfield, and coach Calvin Johnson will have to find a suitable replacement for him.

Lepasa Suspended

Meanwhile, Orlando Pirates attacker Zakhele Lepasa will also miss the midweek action, as he is set to miss Sekhukhune United’s visit at Orlando Stadium tomorrow.

Bafana International received his fourth yellow card of the season during Pirates’ Carling Knockout defeat to Richards Bay this past Saturday.

Which will see him serve a one match suspension.
