Former Orlando Pirates striker Tendai Ndoro passes on.

Ndoro is reported to have been found lifeless at his apartment in Sandton on Monday morning after a long battle with diabetes.

Fire as he was known to football lovers, was forced to hang up his boots back in 2020 while playing for a Zimbabwean Premier Soccer League side, Highlands Park due to illness and has since been in and out hospital.

He was hospitalised in Durban back in May for a tumour under his armpit.

During his haye days, Ndoro was unstoppable, as during his time at Pirates, he netted 36 goals and provided 12 assists in 112 appearances in the league.

Other than the Buccaneers and Highlands Park, Ndoro played for clubs like Chicken Inn, now-defunct Mpumalanga Black Aces and Ajax Cape Town, Nico United, Al-Faisaly FC, and the Zimbabwean senior national team.

Ndoro passes on the age of 40, leaving both the Zimbabwean and South African football fraternity in mourning, as not only have they lost a great footballer but a humble and decent human-being.

We as The CoverUp family, we would like to take this moment and send our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Ndoro, your loss is our loss as the football fraternity has lost one of its sons. May God grant you strength and abilities to tackle these trying times.
