Ahead of the start of the 2025-2026 Betway Premiership season, Nabi was forced to travel back to his country of Tunisia after his wife was involved in a critical accident that landed her in hospital.

Less than a day in Tunisia, the former Young Africans SC’s wife condition improved, as she was taken out of the coma, and woke up leading to the Chiefs’ head coach’s return being around the corner.

After over two weeks in North Africa, Nasreddine Nabi’s return to Chiefs has been revealed.

According to our sources near the club, the tactician will be in charge of his side when they take on Mamelodi Sundowns next week Wednesday.

Amakhosi will welcome the Brazilians at FNB Stadium next week on Wednesday, in the round 4 of the 2025-2026 Betway Premiership season.

Before the heavyweights clash, Chiefs will take on Richards Bay later today in an encounter.

Meanwhile, Sundowns will face Magesi FC tomorrow in a league encounter followed by a clash against Orlando Pirates in the second leg of the MTN8 semifinal before the Chiefs encounter.
