Orlando Pirates middlefielder Karim Kimvuidi breaks his silence on his surprise move to the newly promoted Israeli top division side FC Ashdod.

The Democratic Republic of Congo international made a surprise appearance for Ashdod in an Israeli League Cup clash against Hapoel Tel Aviv this past Saturday.
Kimvuidi apparently was in his last few days of his trial stint at the club before they make a decision on his future, as Israeli football allows players to feature in professional matches while on trial.
The former now-Durban City winger passed his trial, and both Pirates and Ashdod announced his season-long loan deal, which has an option to make the move permanent.
After the move was officially announced, the 23-year-old quickly expressed his excitement for the new challenge and gratitude for the players, coaching staff, and management for a warm welcome.
“Happy and excited for the new challenge that awaits me,” Kimvuidi stated.
“I have already gotten to know the players, the staff, and the management, and I thank them for how they welcomed me here.
“I am very confident in my ability to help the team and am already waiting for the league to get underway.”
