Orlando Pirates star striker Tshegofatso Mabasa is reported to have rejected an offer from a Morrocan club, Maghreb of Fez.

The attacker has missed Pirates’ first three matches of the season to the surprise of many, as he has been the club’s potent goal scorer in the last two seasons.
With speculations surrounding at the club his future due to him missing Pirates’ first matches of the season, Mabasa is reported to have been close to joining Moroccan top-tier side, MAS Fes.
Despite the club to club agreement being sealed, Mabasa decided against joining the Morrocan club despite initially agreeing to join the club due to his family being against the move as per Micky Jnr.
Micky states that the move was pushed hard behind by MAS Fes head coach, Pablo Franco Martin, who is formerly with AmaZulu FC.
“MAS Fes had agreed a deal to sign Mabasa from Orlando Pirates with huge effort from coach Pablo Franco Martin,” Micky Jnr stated.
“The clubs had reached an agreement, but the player later changed his mind, saying [that] after talks with his family he felt it wasn’t the right time to leave South Africa.”
The 28-year-old will now look to return to action for his side as they are in dire need of him, having lost the last two games.
